Caregiver Support Sessions

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will collaborate with the caregiver(s) to determine functional treatment goals. There is no one size fits all and everyone has their own unique abilities. We will work together to build upon your child’s skills and give them opportunities to learn new skills. The overall purpose of caregiver training is to give you the tools you will need to best support your child. The strategies taught are on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and can be applied across all settings that your child encounters day to day.

Some areas of treatment the BCBA can support in are; communication skill (PECS, Speech generating device, and vocal verbal), decreasing challenging behaviors, social skills with the family and in the community, Adaptive Daily Livings Skills (dressing skills, hygiene skills, and chores), behaviors occurring during homework demands, and toilet training.
